President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Deputy Chairman – Head of the Secretariat of Qazaqstan Khalyk Kenesi Kanatbek Zhaisanbayev. The head of state listened to a detailed report on the progress of creating the new structure and forming its apparatus. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

"Kanatbek Zhaisanbayev reported that the secretariat will provide organizational, legal, logistical, financial, information and analytical support for the activities of Qazaqstan Khalyk Kenesi," the Akorda press service said.

During the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the special political significance of the new structure. According to him, this institution will become the most important bridge between the government and society.

"Khalyk Kenesi is a unique dialogue platform that will play an important role in building a Just Kazakhstan," the head of state stated.

Following the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev set a number of specific tasks for Kanatbek Zhaisanbayev. He must ensure clear coordination of the work of Khalyk Kenesi with state bodies, non-governmental organizations, civil society institutions and international partners.

The President paid special attention to the need for impeccable preparation for the first historic session of Qazaqstan Khalyk Kenesi.

Qazaqstan Khalyk Kenesi is an advisory and consultative body under the President, uniting representatives of civil society to discuss key socio-political issues. The creation of the new structure is taking place within the framework of political reforms in the country. One of the main tasks of the secretariat is to coordinate the Council's activities and monitor the implementation of its decisions. Kanatbek Zhaisanbayev previously served as an assistant to the President of Kazakhstan and has extensive experience in political reforms. The exact date of the first session has not yet been determined, but preparations are underway at a high level. This initiative is aimed at strengthening civil dialogue and increasing trust between the government and society.
