According to presidential press secretary Aibek Smadiyarov, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that this historic event demonstrates the exceptional significance of our legendary compatriot's signature in global sports. It also shows his substantial contribution to shaping the true image and reputation of Kazakhstan on the world stage.
In the opinion of the Head of State, Gennady Golovkin is the pride of our country and an ambassador in the international sports community. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed confidence that our young athletes, inspired by the example of one of the best boxers in the world, will continue to conquer high peaks.
Gennady Golovkin's name has been entered into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
