The plane of the President of Kazakhstan has landed in Berlin, where Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived on an official visit at the invitation of German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the Akorda press service, in Berlin Tokayev will meet with the country's leadership and then visit Munich.
In the German capital, he will hold talks with Steinmeier and Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The parties will discuss how to strengthen the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Germany.
The visit program also includes meetings with heads of German companies and financial institutions, university rectors and heads of scientific institutes. The President will take part in a business forum in Berlin and a technology business forum in Munich.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that in the summer of this year, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Germany's Federal Minister of Economics and Energy, Katherina Reiche. At that time, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in energy, industry, digitalization, the transport and logistics sector, as well as in the extraction and processing of rare earth metals.
