The head of state noted that Euronews is recognized as a leading global media resource that impartially covers events and provides viewers with reliable information. According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, since opening its regional office in Astana in 2024, the channel has begun to broadcast more news about the political, economic and cultural life of Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
The President approved Euronews launching news in the Kazakh language, calling it a vivid example of mutually beneficial cooperation. Pedro Vargas David stated that the Kazakh language became the first language of the peoples of Central Asia to be included in the media network's usage.
In addition, the head of Euronews congratulated Kazakh citizens on the adoption of the new Constitution, noting that the principles and values reflected in the Basic Law demonstrate the leadership's commitment to building a stronger and more advanced state.
There was also an exchange of views on the results of the President of Kazakhstan's recent official visit to Brussels. Pedro Vargas David noted that the key ideas of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's article published on the Euronews website on the eve of the visit, regarding the prospects for expanded strategic partnership between Astana and the European Union, were received with particular interest by the European audience.
According to European experts, relations between the European Union and Kazakhstan are developing at a high pace and have acquired an unprecedented character of long-term and fruitful cooperation. During the conversation, issues of implementing joint initiatives that would allow the region to enter the global information space and widely present Kazakhstan's achievements to the international community were considered.
