The presidents of Kazakhstan and Montenegro held talks in a narrow format. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

"We attach special importance to the first historic visit of the head of state of Montenegro. I am confident that the results of our talks will give a new impetus to bilateral relations. Many of our citizens annually vacation in your country and return with good impressions. Taking this opportunity, I congratulate you on the 20th anniversary of your country's independence," Tokayev said.

The president noted that over the years good relations have been established between the two countries and that the content of mutual cooperation needs to be enriched.

The President of Montenegro, in turn, thanked Tokayev for the invitation to Kazakhstan.

"Today, I hope we will expand the horizons of bilateral cooperation. This visit shows that our ties have reached a high level. I came here as a representative of a friendly country. Representatives of Montenegro's business circles are also here. The chambers of commerce of the two countries will hold a business forum, and a number of memorandums will be signed. We will discuss with you not only political cooperation but also opportunities to expand economic partnership," Milatović said.

He noted that Montenegro is one of the popular destinations for Kazakhstani citizens and expressed interest in strengthening ties in this area.
