President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay an official visit to Brussels on June 22-23. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The trip takes place at the invitation of European Council President António Costa, the Akorda press service reported.
During the visit, the head of state will hold talks with António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The parties plan to discuss prospects for further strengthening the expanded partnership and cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union.
The visit program also includes a meeting between Tokayev and Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever.
In addition, the President of Kazakhstan will speak at the Kazakhstan-EU roundtable, which will be attended by heads of major European companies. A number of bilateral meetings are also planned.
Thus, in addition to political negotiations with EU leadership, Tokayev intends to discuss cooperation with representatives of European business.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Tokayev would visit Seoul to participate in the first Central Asia-South Korea summit.
