Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Sergio Gor, the US President's Special Representative for South and Central Asia. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan is interested in further expanding the enhanced strategic partnership with the United States. The President said: "Taking this opportunity, I convey through you my warmest greetings and best wishes to US President Donald Trump. I think we will meet by the end of the year. I also express my gratitude for the invitation to participate in the G20 summit in Miami."
Sergio Gor conveyed that President Trump highly appreciates Tokayev's work. The Special Representative stated: "In the past year alone, agreements worth over $20 billion have been concluded. I am confident this is just the beginning. We are very pleased that you will participate in the G20 summit at the end of the year."
The meeting took place at the Akorda. The parties discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation, including trade, economic, and investment ties.
