Aidar Zharylganov has been relieved of his post as head of the State Legal Department of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan, the Akorda reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The corresponding order was signed by the head of state. The reason for the dismissal is not specified in the report. Zharylganov had headed the department since January 6, 2023.

He was born in 1978 in Semey. In 1999, he graduated from Semey State University, and in 2001 from the Adilet Higher School of Law.

From 2001 to 2007, he worked at the Ministry of State Revenue and the Tax Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.

In 2007, he moved to the Presidential Administration. Until April 2019, he consistently held the positions of expert, consultant, inspector, and head of a sector of the State Legal Department.

From April 2019 to January 2023, he was deputy head of the department, after which he headed it.

In 2013, Zharylganov received the Certificate of Honor of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and in 2020 he was awarded the Order of Kurmet.

Earlier, Kursiv wrote that Tokayev dismissed Dauran Kosanov from the post of Minister of Defense. The resignation occurred amid the death of 14 servicemen during exercises in the Caspian Sea. A criminal case is being investigated into negligence and violation of navigation rules.
