President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The head of state heard a report on the practical implementation of the norms of the new Constitution in the spheres of culture, information and social policy. The meeting also discussed key directions for further improving state policy to enhance the quality of life of citizens.

Balayeva informed the president about bringing legislation in line with the updated Basic Law, improving state information policy and developing the digital environment.

In addition, she reported on interaction with civil society institutions, as well as work in the areas of family and youth policy, volunteering and public control.

Separately, Balayeva presented proposals for the development of the country's cultural infrastructure. In particular, the creation of new educational, scientific-educational and creative facilities, support for traditional art and personnel training were discussed.

The meeting also considered issues of implementing state social policy. Balayeva reported on improving the systems of education, science, healthcare, social protection, employment, sports and tourism.

Special emphasis was placed on strengthening interdepartmental interaction, improving the quality and accessibility of public services, developing human capital, introducing modern digital solutions and forming social infrastructure.

Tokayev positively assessed the information on the government's work in the areas of culture, information policy, education, social security and healthcare.

At the same time, the president drew attention to the need for further intensifying the work of relevant departments to promptly solve pressing social problems.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made a program statement in which he summed up the interim results of large-scale reforms and outlined key guidelines for the country's further development.
