President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated at the last joint session of the parliament that measures to enhance the prestige of teachers and doctors will continue. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to official data, about 1,300 healthcare facilities have been opened in Kazakhstan since 2019. The average life expectancy of citizens has approached 76 years. According to the World Bank, Kazakhstan leads the region in this indicator.

"This is undoubtedly a real reflection of the country's development. In addition, our compatriots have access to all high-tech medical procedures, from neurosurgery to reproductive medicine," Tokayev said.

According to the president, work to increase the prestige of teachers and doctors will continue through concrete steps. "Salaries of teachers, medical and social workers are being raised gradually. Over the past three years, the wages of more than 1.2 million people have increased from 50 to 100 percent," Tokayev concluded.
