About 3,000 people took part in an event dedicated to International Youth Day in Astana. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The congratulations of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev were read out to the participants by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva.

The Head of State stated that support for youth will remain one of the key priorities of state policy. According to him, young Kazakhstanis are showing high results in international educational and scientific competitions, as well as sports competitions.

Tokayev noted that new schools, sports facilities and development centers are being built in all regions of the country, various projects are being implemented and support is being provided to talented youth. He named the grant "Täuelsızdık urpaqtary" as one of such tools.

"The policy of supporting youth will always remain one of the key priorities of our state," the president's address says.

About reforms

The Head of State also reminded about the reforms being carried out in the country. According to him, the new Constitution, supported at the national referendum, defined the development of human capital, education, science and innovation as a strategic direction. In addition, for the first time, the Basic Law directly enshrines state support for volunteer activities.

Tokayev linked these changes to the promotion of the principles of "Taza Qazaqstan" and "Adal azamat". He also noted the large-scale digitalization and introduction of artificial intelligence technologies in various spheres.

"Ultimately, our goal is to build an economically strong, Just, Advanced, Safe and Clean Kazakhstan, where Law and Order prevail," the congratulations say.

Event participants

The event was attended by volunteers, scientists, entrepreneurs, representatives of youth organizations and resource centers, government agencies, public figures, artists and athletes from different regions of the country.

As part of the celebration, a ceremony was also held to award the winners of the "Täuelsızdık urpaqtary" grant competition. The event ended with a festive concert.
