President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated the residents of the North Kazakhstan region on the 90th anniversary of the region's formation. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The Head of State noted the region's contribution to the development of agriculture, industry, and the entire economy of the country.

According to the president, over nine decades the region has come a long way and today occupies an important place in the life of the country.

"Today, Northern Kazakhstan is one of the country's main granaries. Our farmers, who brilliantly master the art of agriculture, make a significant contribution to ensuring the state's food security. Along with agriculture, the processing industry and mechanical engineering are dynamically developing in the region. Investment projects are being implemented, new enterprises are being launched," Tokayev emphasized.

As the president noted, all this directly affects the quality of life of residents and the development of the region.

The Head of State also recalled the historical heritage of the North Kazakhstan region. Part of the history of Abylai Khan is connected with this land. In addition, the region has become the birthplace of many famous statesmen and public figures, writers, cultural figures, athletes, and law enforcement professionals.

Tokayev separately noted the activity of the region's residents during the referendum on the draft of the new Constitution.

"Residents of the region took the most active part in the referendum on the draft Constitution, demonstrating unity and high responsibility," the president said.

According to him, representatives of different ethnic groups live in the region in an atmosphere of peace, friendship, and mutual respect.
