Some regions of Kazakhstan will experience extreme heat up to +44°C, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the ministry, in Kyzylorda, Turkistan, Mangystau, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan regions and other areas, air temperatures will rise to +40…+44°C. "High and extreme fire danger persists," the ministry warned.
Dust storms and strong winds are forecast in Kyzylorda and Turkistan regions. Wind gusts may reach 28 meters per second. In the northern, eastern and western regions, thunderstorms and rain are expected. Strong winds will blow.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges residents to be cautious, follow fire safety rules and take measures to protect themselves from the heat.
