Following the Champions League and Europa League draws, UEFA headquarters held the Conference League draw. If Kazakhstan's Tobol overcomes Serbian Partizan in a two-legged tie, they will face Spanish club Getafe in the playoff for a spot in the main tournament. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The Partizan–Tobol pair was seeded in the draw, but among the unseeded teams there were many strong European mid-table sides, such as Austria Vienna, Dutch Twente, or Bulgarian CSKA. Ultimately, the draw selected Getafe, the seventh team in Spain's La Liga, from the city of the same name in the Madrid province, as a potential opponent.
The decisive qualifying round matches of the Conference League will take place on August 20 and 27.
Before that, Tobol will play two matches in the third qualifying round against Serbian Partizan: on August 6 in Belgrade and on August 13 in Kostanay.
The main stage matches of the third-tier European competition will run from October 15 to December 17. The 2026/27 Conference League final will be held on June 2, 2027, at Beşiktaş Park Stadium in Istanbul.
