The CIS observer mission for the elections to the Russian State Duma consists of 207 people. This was stated by the Deputy Secretary General of the CIS, Ilkhom Nematov. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
It operates in 20 regions of Russia and at polling stations abroad. This is the largest international observer mission.
The mission includes representatives from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS member states, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, the Parliamentary Assembly of the CSTO, the Standing Committee of the Union State and the CIS Executive Committee.
