After the Kurultai elections, Timur Suleimenov was reappointed as Chairman of the National Bank. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"By decree of the head of state, Timur Muratovich Suleimenov was appointed as Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the Akorda statement reads.
What we know about Timur Suleimenov
Timur Suleimenov was born on April 5, 1978. In 2000, he graduated from Pavlodar State University, and in 2002, under the Bolashak program, he received a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
Over the years, he served as Vice Minister of Economy and Budget Planning, Vice Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Minister of National Economy, and Deputy Chairman of the National Bank. In March 2019, he was appointed as an aide to the President.
In July of the same year, he became Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration.
From January 2022 to August 2023, he served as First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration. In September 2023, he was appointed Chairman of the National Bank.
