German actor Til Schweiger has joined the filming of 'Armour of God: Ultimatum', which is taking place in Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The actor is currently working on the set in Almaty, Sәlem Entertainment announced on social media.
Schweiger gained wide recognition after his role in the cult film 'Knockin' on Heaven's Door'. He also appeared in Quentin Tarantino's 'Inglourious Basterds' and Guy Ritchie's 'The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare'. The actor's filmography includes over 80 films.
'Armour of God: Ultimatum' is the fourth installment of the famous adventure franchise with Jackie Chan. The film is produced by Kazakhstan's Sәlem Entertainment and Hong Kong's Billion Target. The director is Kazakh filmmaker Robert Kuhn.
Filming in Kazakhstan started in June and will last until October. The film will feature locations in Almaty, Almaty and Mangystau regions, as well as Astana and Turkistan. One of the key sites is Bozzhyra in Mangystau region. Some scenes will also be shot in Hong Kong. Jackie Chan flew to Baku for certain episodes.
World movie star Jackie Chan will once again play the Asian Hawk, a treasure hunter. In the new part, he will search for an ancient artifact.
Now Til Schweiger has joined the international cast of the project.
"It is a great honor for us to work with an actor with more than 80 films behind him," Sәlem Entertainment noted.
