Tengizchevroil plans to produce up to 40 million tons of oil by the end of 2026. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
For comparison, in 2025 the company produced up to 39 million tons of oil. This is 40% higher than the 2024 figure. "After the completion of the largest phase of expansion of the Tengiz field, TCO reached its design production capacity. The daily oil production volume reached approximately 120 thousand tons. The company plans to produce up to 40 million tons of oil by the end of 2026," the statement said.
In the first half of 2026, TCO produced 16.6 million tons of oil. The TCO project is considered one of the largest investment projects in the history of independent Kazakhstan. The agreement on the project was signed in 1993. During this time, a large production complex has been formed at the field, including modern facilities for the extraction, preparation and processing of hydrocarbons.
