The condition of Kuandyk Beket, who survived the Caspian Sea on his own, is good. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
This was told to a Sputnik Kazakhstan correspondent by the soldier's father, Baktybek Kenzhegulov. Beket Kuandyk left for military service on October 2 last year.
Beket holds the title of master of sports in judo and is mainly a student. On his birthday, he went to the military commissariat himself without telling anyone and asked to join the army.
"My Beket is alive, the new sister, mother, all of us visited him. He is depressed after losing his friends. We heard about the incident on social media. We kept in touch along the way, he was not on the list of deceased soldiers. That is how we found out he was alive," says his father Baktybek Kenzhegulov.
According to the soldier's father, the military were immediately dropped into a deep place in the sea. "He said they immediately made him jump into the deep. The other boys got scared, thrashed about, shouted. \"I was not afraid and calmly swam to the shore,\" says Beket. We ordered at a cafe in the village and were preparing to hold a memorial meal. How can I celebrate after losing my friends," said Baktybek Kenzhegulov.
September 24 is Beket's second birthday. Right before the incident, his mother had missed her son especially for 4-5 days, could not find a place for herself, and was very worried.
"Beket is studying to be a physical education teacher. He has experience swimming in the Ural, and thanks to that he survived. \"I did not see who came out after me, I was immediately put in a car and taken away,\" said Beket. We cry thinking about the other soldiers. They are all ours, children of the entire Kazakh people," says Beket's father.
