A fire in an eighth-floor apartment of a ten-storey residential building in Temirtau led to one person being hospitalised. Rescuers brought three others out of the smoke-filled building. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The fire occurred in the 9th microdistrict. Emergency Ministry units that arrived at the scene used rescue hoods to bring three people out via the stairwell.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze over an area of 25 square metres.
One person with signs of poisoning by combustion products was taken to a multidisciplinary hospital. The cause of the fire is being established.
Earlier, in October 2026, in the village of Tuymebay in the Ili district of Almaty region, the roofs of three shopping boutiques and a canteen caught fire.
