The system of remote medical services for residents of remote areas is being scaled up in the Karaganda region. During her visit to the region, Health Minister Akmaral Alnazarova familiarized herself with the work of a new medical facility in the Bukhar-Zhyrau district. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
"The outpatient clinic serves over 1,500 residents, including more than 400 children. It is fully equipped with modern equipment and staffed," the statement said.
Here, rural residents receive a wide range of medical services – from pre-medical appointments and vaccination to consultative and diagnostic assistance and telemedicine services, without traveling to the district or regional center.
In addition, the outpatient clinic provides rehabilitation for patients after strokes and complex interventions, a physiotherapy room, day hospital beds, and conditions for receiving pregnant women.
According to Alnazarova, 92 rural healthcare facilities have been built in the region to date. She noted that the main task is to make quality specialized medical care accessible to every resident, regardless of where they live.
According to the ministry, in 2025, 3.87 million telemedicine services were provided in Kazakhstan, which is 19% higher than the previous year. Today, 118 types of medical services are available remotely to patients.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Kazakhstan plans to introduce a system of expert medical centers that should help minimize medical errors.
