Canadian lender TD Bank has told some employees it will use software to monitor their work. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Reuters.

The decision aims to track employee productivity and optimize work processes. The software monitors employees' computer activities, including keystrokes and mouse movements. The bank says these measures will help improve work efficiency.

TD Bank stated that it respects employees' privacy and monitoring will only occur during work hours. However, this move has raised concerns among some employees and unions, who believe such surveillance could undermine trust in the workplace.

According to Reuters' exclusive information, the software will first be tested in several bank departments. If results are positive, wider implementation is planned. Bank representatives say the technology will help balance employee workloads and allocate resources effectively.
