Seven citizens of Uzbekistan were killed in a drone attack in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan stated that the situation is under control and that contact has been established with local investigative authorities to determine the circumstances.
The consulate's statement reads: "After the completion of forensic examination and necessary official procedures, appropriate measures will be taken to deliver the bodies of the deceased to Uzbekistan."
Details of the attack
This morning, unmanned aerial vehicles attacked the territory of Tatarstan. In Nizhnekamsk, strikes were carried out on both industrial and civilian facilities.
According to the latest data, 13 people, including one child, were killed. 75 people sought medical assistance, 21 of them were hospitalized.
Operational measures
The head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, ordered the prompt elimination of the consequences of the drone attack. Medical assistance is being provided to the victims.
Additional teams of doctors were sent to Nizhnekamsk from Naberezhnye Chelny.
A day of mourning has been declared in Tatarstan. The Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case.
According to the committee, there were civilians at the attacked facilities who had no involvement in military operations.
