A republican campaign 'Safe Road' has been announced in Kazakhstan to strengthen control over passenger transportation safety, the Ministry of Transport reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The campaign will run from June 15, 2026 to June 30, 2026. The main goal is to ensure passenger safety and prevent road accidents, the ministry said.

'Special attention will be paid to right-hand drive vehicles (Toyota Alphard, Estima, etc.) and drivers' compliance with work and rest schedules,' the message reads.

The ministry urged carriers to strictly comply with the law, monitor the technical condition of their vehicles, and not endanger passengers. It also recommended strict adherence to rules for transporting passengers, luggage, and taxis, as well as traffic rules on public roads.
