Taraz resident Anar Beksultanova, despite having no hands, promotes national art and amazes many people. She opened the «Ademi qyz zhasauy» business 13 years ago. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Anar Beksultanova gave an interview to Sputnik Kazakhstan and said that for a person with intention there are no obstacles in overcoming difficulties. She is a person of boundless ability. She inspires many who have lost heart and complained of life's grievances, and lifts their spirits.
Anar Beksultanova was born in the village of Usharal in the Talas district of Zhambyl region. «I was born without both hands. During pregnancy my mother fell ill with jaundice, perhaps because of that, or perhaps it was the will of Allah,» says the master.
Anar Sagyntaikyzy is the daughter of a family that glorifies national art. Her grandmother, maternal aunt, mother, and father's sisters — in general, every woman in this family is a craftswoman. «The house of my grandfather and grandmother was a six-winged white yurt. Inside it was full of handmade items. I grew up seeing my grandfather's wolf fur coat and various national clothes. Looking at their patchwork quilts, I thought, 'If I had hands, how would I sew,' and I brought that to life,» she says.
Anar Sagyntaikyzy, while still at school, made patchwork quilts, darned socks, and sewed clothes for herself. After graduating from school, she entered a higher educational institution in Taraz to study biology teaching. But she could not get a job in this specialty.
«At that time there was no law on employment of people with disabilities. Whichever institution's door I knocked on, no one accepted me. I wanted to grow flowers myself, crossbreed them, obtain a new variety, and make a discovery. But my dream did not come true,» says Anar Beksultanova.
There were those who lent the master a hand and got her a job. But the business Anar Sagyntaikyzy opened herself grew, and she received the blessing of many people. «In 2013 I collected 550,000 tenge in loans and decided to take up sewing quilts. My brothers helped me a lot in this business. In this business the work is great not only of mine, but of my brothers,» says Anar Beksultanova.
Anar Sagyntaikyzy is the chairwoman of the «Sheber Shanyrak» public association. And the association's current creations are admirable. «The work of the colleague girls beside me is great. In our work there are women over seventy-five and very young sisters. Whatever the task, they perform it sincerely, honestly, and with quality,» says the association's chairwoman Sagyntaikyzy.
Anar Beksultanova's wish: «I want today's girls and women not to forget national art. I want women not to buy ready-made items in stores, but to develop Kazakh art with their own hands,» says the master.
