The Taraz city court has protected the rights of two women permanently residing in Norway. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Their father died in October 2024. However, the daughters only learned of his death four months later. During the documentation process, they encountered several difficulties. The notary refused to accept powers of attorney where the heirs' surnames were written in English. Consequently, the notary also refused to issue them a certificate of inheritance rights.
By court decision, the deadline for accepting the inheritance was restored, and they were recognized as having accepted the inheritance after their father's death. The court decision has entered into legal force.
