A citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, blogger Makhmud Khikmatov, known under the pseudonym "Makha.dxb", has been placed on the international wanted list. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan. The court has sanctioned his detention.
Makhmud Khikmatov is suspected of advertising and promoting illegal online casinos "SultanGames", "PINCO", "Nomadcasino", "Pin-Up", "Vavada" and others.
Illegal system established
According to the agency, a stable system has been created on the territory of Kazakhstan that facilitates the illegal operation of online casinos. Through this system, the interface of online casinos was provided, and the acceptance and payment of money were established. For this, acquiring, mobile payments and cryptocurrency were used. Advertising was also distributed to attract citizens of the country to gambling on a large scale.
Blogger's role
To advertise online casinos, the organizers involved blogger M. Khikmatov. He was tasked with finding influencers working in Kazakhstan and publishing advertising materials through them.
For this purpose, M. Khikmatov requested from bloggers the statistics of their social media pages. This included demographic and geographic indicators of subscribers, as well as data on how many people their publications reach. Payment for advertising was set based on these data.
More than 35 bloggers involved
In total, he attracted more than 35 bloggers, including blogger Kamza. Kamza, who has a large audience, published referral links to online casinos and deliberately attracted citizens of Kazakhstan to prohibited gambling. He received rewards for each user transition.
Recall that Kamza was extradited from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on August 6 this year.
The agency said that a person who provides any information about the whereabouts of the wanted person will be rewarded, and the identity of the informant will be kept confidential.
