The Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF) has officially confirmed that Talğat Baysufinov has left the post of head coach of the national team. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Baysufinov had been coaching the national team since January 2024. Under his leadership, the team played 10 official matches, winning 3, drawing 2, and losing 5. Kazakhstan's national team is in last place in Group 5 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with 4 points.
The KFF did not specify the reasons for the head coach's departure, but the team's results were deemed unsatisfactory. An interim head coach has not been appointed yet; the federation has begun searching for a new specialist.
