A court in Taldykorgan has sentenced a father who brutally beat his three-year-old daughter. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The man who beat three-year-old Akzharkyn was convicted. The criminal case was initiated under two articles: torture and beating of a helpless or minor person.
The defendant fully admitted his guilt and expressed sincere remorse. However, the fact that the crime was committed while intoxicated was considered an aggravating circumstance.
By the court verdict, the man was sentenced to four years of imprisonment. He will serve his sentence in a medium-security correctional facility, said the Zhetysu Regional Court.
The verdict has not entered into legal force. It is worth recalling that on February 2, a horrific incident occurred in Taldykorgan. The father beat three-year-old Akzharkyn to death. At the time of the incident, the mother was taking a shower.
Earlier, Akzharkyn's mother, Zhadyra Zhumakova, spoke about this in an interview with Sputnik Kazakhstan. The child underwent a complex surgery abroad and survived. However, the mother said she could not forgive her husband.
