During operational search activities, police in Taldykorgan detained a married couple suspected of distributing synthetic drugs. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The suspects are a 33-year-old resident of Almaty and a 43-year-old resident of the region. They received instructions from a curator via one of the messengers and left prohibited substances in hiding places.
According to police, during personal searches and subsequent investigative actions, packages with a powdery substance were seized, as well as items intended for weighing, packaging, and distributing drugs. Additionally, during a search at their temporary residence in Taldykorgan, further narcotic substances and equipment indicating illegal activity were found.
As a result of the investigation, 260 grams of mephedrone were seized from illegal circulation. The suspects have been placed in a temporary detention facility. Pre-trial investigations are ongoing.
