Police in Taldykorgan have opened criminal cases after a woman reported violence and threats from her husband. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Details of the incident were published by the Telegram channel "Criminal Kazakhstan". According to a friend of the victim, the man repeatedly beat his wife and threatened her, claiming he could avoid responsibility thanks to connections and money.
According to the channel, the latest conflict occurred on the night of October 2 because a one-year-old child was preventing the man from sleeping. After that, according to the channel, he beat his wife for several hours.
Neighbors came to the screams. According to eyewitnesses, the man began chasing them with a weapon. In the morning, the woman managed to call the police. Her relatives asked for an objective investigation.
The police department of the Zhetisu region confirmed that the complaint was received on October 2. Officers immediately went to the scene and detained the man. A pneumatic weapon was seized from him.
"Criminal cases have been opened on the facts of infliction of bodily injuries and threats. The suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility. After examination by doctors, the woman and her child were placed in a crisis center, where they were provided with the necessary assistance," the police said.
According to the department, she had not previously contacted the police.
