Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has ordered that people who frequently violate traffic rules or have been deprived of their driver's license must not be hired in taxi services. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
In the near future, work will be completed to integrate the unified register of administrative offenses with the platforms of private companies engaged in passenger transportation. This will allow taxi services to see information about drivers who frequently violate traffic rules.
"Also, when hiring, special attention must be paid to the issue of driver selection. Taxi aggregators must hire only experienced and responsible people. People deprived of their driver's license or who frequently violate traffic rules must not be hired in the taxi industry," Bektenov said at today's government meeting.
In addition, the technical condition of vehicles carrying passengers and the working hours of taxi drivers must also be under strict control.
The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Transport, together with the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, to take additional measures to regulate private taxi services. According to him, all issues in this area must be regulated by specific normative documents.
