Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, Saparov outlined measures aimed at increasing the share of processed products in the agro-industrial complex to 70%.

"In the first six months of 2026, food production increased by 14.7%. The real volume index of agriculture grew by 4.4%, including crop production by 7.7% and livestock by 4.4%," he said.

The minister noted that export volumes and the range of exported products are also growing. According to him, in January-April of this year, exports of agricultural products amounted to $3 billion, which is 36% more than the same period last year ($2.2 billion).

"By the end of the year, it is planned to increase exports to $7.2 billion," Saparov emphasized.

Special attention is paid to the development of pasture livestock farming. The digital transformation of the agro-industrial complex continues. On the basis of the unified digital platform "E-AIC," state information systems and new digital services are being integrated.

According to forecasts, by the end of the year, the total volume of agricultural output will increase by 5.9%. It is planned to increase food production by 9.5% and beverage production by 10.5%. Investments in fixed capital in the industry will amount to 2.2 trillion tenge.
