President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the distinguished guest at the capital's airport. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Earlier, the press secretary of the President of Kazakhstan, Aibek Smadiyarov, said that Emomali Rahmon's visit would last from November 5 to 7.
"The leaders of the two countries will consider issues of further strengthening strategic partnership and allied relations," Smadiyarov said at the time.
On November 6, a summit of the Aqaba Process with the participation of several heads of state will be held in Astana.
