On August 27, five forest fires were registered in Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Three fires occurred in Akmola Region. One more fire was recorded on the territory of the Karkaraly State National Natural Park, and another in the Ulytau State National Natural Park.
Detection and Firefighting
The fire sites were detected in a timely manner thanks to aerial patrols, special detection systems, and daily monitoring by the forest protection service.
Employees of the state forest protection service, aviation units of the RSE "Kazavialesoohrana", aircraft, and special equipment were sent to the fire sites.
Results of Operational Measures
"Thanks to the promptly taken measures, it was possible to prevent the spread of fire towards nearby settlements and forest areas," the Ministry of Ecology reported.
Specialists continue work to fully eliminate the fire sites and stabilize the situation. The situation is under constant control.
