Taco Bell has removed lettuce from its menu in several states due to suspected link to a cyclosporiasis outbreak. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Reuters.

The company took the step after concerns over the safety of the lettuce. Cyclosporiasis is a parasitic infection that causes intestinal illness. Symptoms include watery diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea, and fever.

Taco Bell has not specified which states are affected but said the removal is temporary and an investigation is ongoing. The company emphasized that customer safety is its top priority.
