Kazakhstan is developing the educational and methodological resource 'Water Chest'. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, the resource is intended for use in the educational process and in extracurricular work with children and youth.
The resource includes thematic educational materials, practical tasks and exercises, informational and methodological developments, ecological fairy tales, as well as digital tools, including the 'Water Footprint' platform. The materials are developed taking into account the age characteristics of students.
Teachers can use these materials in lessons, environmental hours, class and extracurricular activities.
Work on filling the 'Water Chest' is being carried out with the participation of specialists in the field of water resources, education and environmental education. Currently, most of the materials are ready, and work on preparing them for transfer to educational organizations is nearing completion.
'The Water Chest' combined materials and experience accumulated within the framework of ministry projects aimed at environmental education and the formation of a culture of water conservation. Now this knowledge and tools are collected in one resource, which will allow teachers to use them in working with children and youth,' said Kairatgali Khairulla, Chairman of the Board of the 'Information and Analytical Center for Water Resources' NJSC.
After the completion of the work, the 'Water Chest' resource will be transferred to educational organizations of the country for use in the educational process and extracurricular work.
