Police in the Almaty region have found another participant in a wedding cortege whose drivers staged a dangerous ride on public roads. A court in Almaty ordered 22-year-old Dias Adilbekov to be placed under administrative arrest for 10 days. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The $600 promise and the race
According to police, it was Adilbekov who promised $600 to whoever came first after the main car of the cortege. The race took place in the general traffic flow, was accompanied by gross violations of traffic rules and posed a threat to other road users.
The reckless driver was found in Shymkent during search operations, after which he was held accountable and given 10 days of arrest.
The first three participants
The story continued a few days after police named the first 'heroes' of the scandalous video. On September 30, Kursiv Auto reported that Toyota Land Cruiser driver Aidos Nogai, VAZ driver Rinat Onalbekov and Mercedes-Benz driver Damir Ikhan appeared before the court. All three received 10 days of administrative arrest each.
Now a fourth participant has joined them. At the same time, police continue to establish the circumstances of the incident and other guilty persons.
Earlier, Kursiv Auto reported that more than 32,000 cases of garbage being thrown from car windows had been stopped in Almaty.
