The specialized inter-district criminal court of Atyrau region found Sultan Sarsemaliyev guilty of killing four members of a single family and sentenced him to life imprisonment. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Additionally, the court found him guilty of fraud, theft, livestock theft, and illegal possession and concealment of documents. The trial lasted several months.
During the trial, the defendant denied the charge of premeditated murder of Nauraz Mukangaliyev. According to case materials, after killing Nauraz, the accused decided to conceal the crime. Subsequently, the defendant stabbed Nauraz's parents multiple times, causing their deaths. The last victim was the youngest daughter of the family, Miramgul.
Investigators established that after the murders, Sarsemaliyev appropriated the property of the deceased family. It is worth recalling that last November, residents of the village of Zhangeldi – a married couple, their daughter and son – went missing. Their bodies were later found. In February, he was detained with his ex-wife in Indonesia and returned to the country.
