Kazakhstan plans to extend the ban on the export of liquefied petroleum gas, propane and butane from the country by road and rail for another six months. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the relevant draft order of the Ministry of Energy, the restriction is set to be introduced from November 14, 2026. The document was published on the "Ashуq NQA" portal.
Public discussion will continue until November 12.
According to the ministry, the main goal of the restriction is to ensure uninterrupted supply of liquefied petroleum gas to Kazakhstan's domestic market.
The draft order states that this measure does not entail socio-economic, legal or other negative consequences, and does not adversely affect national security.
