The winners of the Andrei Stenin Photojournalism Contest will be announced in October. The award ceremony and the opening of the photo exhibition of their works will take place at the Moscow Museum. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to contest curator Oksana Oleinik, the large-scale 2026 exhibition will be held at the Moscow Museum. "We are delighted to present this exhibition to our audience. The exhibition will feature works by all of this year's winners and prize-winners, including pieces from the new "Energy of Life" nomination, introduced for the first time for participants over 33 years old," Oleinik noted.
According to her, works by high-level journalists become a professional benchmark and can help determine the skill level of young photographers. "And the exhibition will allow viewers and guests to look at the world around them through the eyes of photojournalists who, while living on different continents and in different countries, address themes common to all humanity," Oleinik added.
The exhibition will run in the space of the Moscow Museum from October 21 to November 10, 2026. In 2026, the contest's shortlist included single photographs and photo series by young photojournalists from 13 countries.
This year, the contest's authoritative international jury evaluated about 2,500 works submitted from Russia, Argentina, Iran, Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, Spain, Turkey and other countries. In total, photographers from 36 countries participated in the contest.
