Police in North Kazakhstan region detained a 30-year-old Kazakh citizen in Turkey who had been on the international wanted list since 2022. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Polisia.kz.
According to the investigation, the suspect, in collusion with accomplices, fraudulently obtained over 6 million tenge from citizens between August and September 2021 by gaining their trust.
On July 16, the suspect was deported from Turkey to Kazakhstan. The repatriation was facilitated by the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Antalya and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Since the beginning of the year, police in North Kazakhstan region have detained four individuals wanted for fraud. According to criminal case materials, the total material damage caused by their actions amounted to 568 million tenge.
