From the special state fund, 2.7 billion tenge has been allocated to complete the reconstruction of the Presnov and Sokolov group water pipelines in the North Kazakhstan region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The reconstruction of the Presnov group water pipeline will improve water supply to 43 settlements in the Esil, Mamlyut and Zhambyl districts, home to a total of 34,500 people.
"To date, 171 kilometers of main water pipeline and distribution networks, as well as 46 kilometers of intra-village water networks, have been laid. Work continues on the construction and modernization of pressure control structures designed for water accumulation, distribution and ensuring the required water pressure," the government reported.
The reconstruction of the Sokolov group water pipeline covers 10 villages in the Kyzylzhar district with a population of over 4,000 people. The project includes the construction of 59 kilometers of distribution networks and 77 kilometers of intra-village water networks.
The Presnov and Sokolov water pipelines are scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2026.
