Kazakhstani swimmers Sofya Spodarenko and Aibat Myrzamuratov competed in the finals of the 2026 Asian Games. Spodarenko took sixth place in the 50-meter butterfly, while Myrzamuratov finished tenth in the 50-meter breaststroke. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
In the women's final, Spodarenko covered the distance in 26.49 seconds. China's Zhang Yufei won. Her compatriot Wu Qingfeng took silver, and Japan's Rikako Ikee finished third.
