A mega-farm equipped with the largest milking unit in Central Asia has been opened in North Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

In the Magzhan Zhumabaev district, a dairy farm with a milking unit capable of milking 100 cows simultaneously has been launched. Once the project reaches full capacity, the enterprise will produce up to 150 tons of milk per day.

The total investment in the project is about 30 billion tenge. As a result of its implementation, more than 120 permanent jobs will be created.

Project highlight

The main feature of the project is the "Carousel" milking unit manufactured by the German brand GEA WESTFALIA, designed for simultaneous milking of 100 cows and being the largest in Central Asia. This system ensures high productivity, animal comfort, and full digitalization of production processes.

All technological solutions implemented at the farm fully comply with world standards of dairy farming.

Dairy farms in the region

In total, more than 50 of the 118 dairy farms in the region currently operate in the "smart" enterprise format.

As noted by the akim of North Kazakhstan region, Gauvez Nurmukhambetov, the new farm of Gennady Zinchenko houses about 9 thousand head of cattle, including 3.6 thousand dairy cows. It operates a milking carousel for 90 head from the German company GEA WESTFALIA.

"And the new SK Agro 2050 complex will be even larger: the total livestock here will reach 12 thousand, and the milking unit for 100 head will be the largest not only in Kazakhstan but in all of Central Asia," said the akim.
