In the North Kazakhstan region, ambulance specialists saved a villager who choked on braided salted cheese 'chechil'. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
A report that a 50-year-old man could not breathe came from the village of Beskol in the Kyzylzhar district. When the paramedic team arrived, the patient was in a state of clinical death, with no pulse palpable.
Specialists immediately performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Additionally, they performed chest compressions, artificial respiration, and intravenous adrenaline administration. During direct laryngoscopy, a foreign body – 'chechil' cheese – was found in the airway. The ambulance specialists removed it. Then tracheal intubation was performed.
Post-resuscitation measures were required: placement of an endotracheal tube; artificial ventilation of the lungs using an Ambu bag; intravenous infusion of dopamine via a perfusor. On the way to the hospital, the patient began to breathe spontaneously. With the help of vasopressor drugs, hemodynamics were restored.
Currently, the patient has regained consciousness, and his life and health are not in danger. It is worth noting that all three specialists who responded to the call have high qualifications. In particular, Aidar Omarov was the leader and prize-winner of the North Kazakhstan region team at the republican championship of emergency medical teams in Aktau last year. Pavel Kuzurman has repeatedly improved his skills according to international standards BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS and NR, and successfully passed certification in tracer format. Bakhyt Valeev also actively participates in providing assistance to patients and victims during emergency care.
