Kazakhstani figure skater Sofya Samodelkina won a bronze medal at the international Denis Ten Memorial tournament held in Almaty. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

In the women's singles event, the domestic athlete scored a total of 204.36 points across the short and free programs, securing third place. In the short program, Sofya Samodelkina earned 69.45 points, while in the free program she received 134.91 points.

Thus, the Kazakhstani figure skater maintained her third place after the first day of competition.

Russian skater Alexandra Ignatova, competing in a neutral status, won the tournament with 226.01 points. South Korean representative Kim Yoo-jae scored 209.20 points to take the silver medal.

Also defending the country's honor were Nuriya Suleimen (122.40 points, 14th place), Alika Khalimova (120.56 points, 15th place), Amira Irmatova (117.00 points, 16th place), Zere Sarbaldina (108.73 points, 18th place), and Amina Alekseeva (98.20 points, 19th place).
