Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has ordered to accelerate the implementation of the unified digital platform Smart Turmys. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The issue of introducing the Smart Turmys system was raised in the government a year ago. Under the project, every resident will be able to see the readings of metering devices in their home via a mobile application. Artificial intelligence will also show where and why tariffs have changed.
According to Minister of Industry and Construction Yersaiyn Nagaspayev, the first modules of the Smart Turmys platform are planned to be launched in pilot mode by the end of this year. "The platform will allow forming a unified register of subscribers, digitalizing the accounting of utility payments, and monitoring the consumption of all utility resources," Nagaspayev said at a government meeting.
The Prime Minister ordered to speed up the work. "The Ministries of Industry and Construction, as well as Energy, should accelerate the implementation of the unified digital platform Smart Turmys," Bektenov said.
It is noted that for the full launch of the digital platform, it is necessary to provide the population with metering devices as much as possible. One hundred percent coverage with metering devices of communal infrastructure in cities of republican significance, regional centers, and districts is planned by 2029.
