Slovakia will not send soldiers to fight Russia or another country under false pretexts. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

This was stated by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in a video message published on Saturday on his official social media page.

"Under my government, no one will be sent outside Slovakia to fight Russia or another country under false pretexts," Fico said.

He stated that Article 5 of the NATO Charter on collective defense in the event of an attack on one of its members provides broad opportunities for assisting countries that have been attacked.

Fico said it is necessary to stop talking about false solidarity.

"In the European Union, we cannot show solidarity regarding electricity prices and the deaths of soldiers," Fico said.
