Kazakhstan has certified the Skoda Superb estate. An approval of vehicle type (OTTS) has appeared in the open register of "KazStandard", which includes the Combi version in addition to the already sold liftback. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The OTTS was issued for Skoda Superb cars of Kazakh production. The manufacturer and applicant is the SaryarkaAvtoProm plant. The document separately lists two body versions – a five-door liftback and a five-door estate. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive modifications are also provided.

According to the document, the cars can be equipped with two 2.0-liter turbo engines:

  • 01The first engine – 204 hp (150 kW), paired with front-wheel drive.
  • 02The second engine – 265 hp (195 kW), paired with all-wheel drive.

The length of the liftback is 4912 mm, the estate – 4902 mm. The width of both versions is 1849 mm, and the wheelbase is up to 2841 mm.

The equipment list includes matrix LED headlights, adaptive DCC suspension, head-up display, three-zone climate control, seats with ventilation and massage, Canton audio system, Travel Assist semi-autonomous driving system, adaptive cruise control, and parking autopilot.

Not yet. Obtaining an OTTS does not in itself mean the start of sales of a specific modification. Manufacturers often certify several versions of a car at once, but then bring only some of them to the market.

Nevertheless, without such a document, official sales of the estate would be impossible. Therefore, the appearance of the estate version in the register may indicate that the official distributor is considering bringing it to the Kazakh market.

Currently, the official Skoda Kazakhstan website only presents the Superb liftback. Its price starts from 18 million tenge.
